College Bound, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, offers public and public charter school students in grades 8-12 academic enrichment and resources to prepare for and succeed in college. Each year College Bound helps 100% of its students graduate from high school.
College Bound practices a one-to-one mentoring model in which each student is paired with one mentor ("partner") and both work together throughout the school year to achieve academic success. Students and partners are committed to meeting once a week at a designated academic site. You are able to choose a location that would be most convenient for your schedule. Help College Bound make college completion a reality by signing up to serve as a mentor! They are currently recruiting volunteers for the 2018-2019 academic year and need almost 100 mentors! The Academic Mentoring Program will resume in September. If you know this is something you are interested in, you can fill out a partner application here: http://collegebound.org/partner-application/. If you would like to learn more about the program, please visit the College Bound website at Collegebound.org or contact the volunteer coordinator, Caprice King at Caprice@collegebound.org. Please pass this information along to anyone you think may be interested.
